Crystal Dougherty Anderson is a deeply intuitive and seasoned bodyworker who has dedicated over 23 years to the healing arts. Her work is rooted in a profound passion for helping others feel safe, seen, and at home in their bodies.

Crystal is the founder of Crystal Bodywork in Nosara, Costa Rica, where she’s been based for the last 18 years. A dual citizen of the United States and Costa Rica, she is also a devoted mother of three, nature lover, earth activist, world traveler, and star gazer. Her presence is nurturing, grounded, and soul-centered — qualities that infuse every session she offers.

From a young age, Crystal faced chronic illness and pain. These early challenges sparked her path into healing, teaching her to turn toward the body with compassion and to use the breath as a guide. At just 12 years old, she felt a clear calling: to help others feel good in their bodies. This calling has led her into decades of service as a professional massage therapist, teacher, and holistic practitioner.

Her approach is integrative — combining deep technical knowledge of anatomy with subtle energetic awareness. She is trauma-informed, soul-attuned, and committed to holding safe, sacred containers for transformation.

Crystal’s mission is to support the healing of the whole being — body, mind, soul, and spirit — through touch, breath, and presence. Every session is an invitation to soften, to come home to yourself, and to remember your own inner wisdom and ability to heal.
